The present Charter offers a framework to the community of the city of Kotel for ascending social and economic development, built upon the integrated natural and cultural heritage of the municipality and neighboring areas.
Valorization of the Living Heritage of Local Representatives of Creative Industries in the Four Ethnic Communities - Bulgarians, Roma, Turks, and Karakachans
The goal of valorization is to support the creation of a common platform for the exchange of knowledge and skills and the improvement of the urban environment. This aims to introduce a new business format for cultural creativity and entrepreneurship – the Economuseum. The initiative aims to share best practices in the cultural sphere among cultural operators, different social and ethnic groups, and groups in disadvantaged positions.
Guidelines for Live Interpretation
The purpose of this development is for Cultural Heritage Interpretation (CHI) to contribute to the accessibility of Kotel's living heritage and the surrounding region for visitors/tourists. This is achieved through the creation and implementation of creative cultural experiences that provide a high-quality narrative about the heritage. Live reenactment and demonstration of cultural and historical heritage aim to motivate individuals, tourism, and cultural operators to engage with it for the benefit of local communities.
Analysis of the Beneficiary's Expert Potential: The Four Ethnic Communities in the Municipality of Kotel – Cultural Traditions and Customs of Bulgarians, Karakachans, Roma, and Turks

The activity involves the development and execution of a plan to attract audiences for the cultural event "Vision and Sound," featuring live interpretation of the traditional Gergyovden ritual celebrated by all ethnic communities in Kotel. The event will take place within the framework of the Festival of Ethnicities, Colors, and the Kotel Carpet. It aims to showcase the cultural diversity and craftsmanship of the communities, providing an opportunity for visitor engagement through the application of live interpretation techniques. The plan, directed at expanding the current festival audience and attracting new audiences, will outline specific actions to improve people's access to the art and culture of local communities.
